Come Visit Us
Our tasting room is open daily from 11am to 4pm. Please check our calendar for major holidays as our hours may change.
Tasting Flight & Fees
Our tasting flight is typically made up of 5 wines including our Chardonnay and 4 Pinot noirs. The cost of the flight is $20 and a significant portion is donated to ¡Salud!, the organization that provides healthcare services to Oregon Vineyard workers and their families. Since we opened in 2008 through 2012, we have donated over $100,000 to these services through our tasting fees. Because of this donation, Winderlea does not refund the tasting fee for bottle purchases. We do offer complimentary tastings to Winderlea Wine Club members.
Appointments for Groups (7 visitors to a maximum of 12)
When we purchased the Winderlea vineyard it came with a legendary reputation built on old vines at near perfect elevations and aspects. What it didn’t provide was very much room to build a tasting room and a parking lot. Not one vine was sacrificed when we built our modern tasting room at the top of the property where an old equipment shed once sat. Because of this, and our limited sized parking lot, we are only able to accommodate groups of 7 to a maximum of 12 through a reservation. In order to provide special attention to all of our guests, group appointments for Saturday are only scheduled between 10 am and Noon. We have a little more flexibility on scheduling group tastings mid week.
Please contact the tasting room at 503-554-5900 or at email@example.com if you are interested in scheduling a group tasting.
We know many wine country visitors enjoy to picnic with a glass or bottle of wine. Unfortunately, due to our licensing restrictions we cannot offer glass pours or bottles of wines for consumption on our premises. Due to the size and layout of our tasting room and for the enjoyment of all of our guests, picnicking is not allowed on the Winderlea premises.
However, we have many options for picnicking in the neighborhood. Just 1 mile down the road is Crabtree Park, a lovely little park nestled amongst vineyards with picnic tables, and even a few activities for children.
If you are looking for a winery setting, a few of our neighbors welcome picnickers and we’d be happy to direct you.
Buying Wine at Winderlea
Guests are invited to purchase wine any time during our hours of operations 11am to 4pm daily. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff can always assist with recommendations from our current tasting, limited release wines, and large formats available on-site at the tasting room and vineyard.
Wine Tasting Experience for Groups of 12 or more
In order to meet the needs of a limited number of large groups, Winderlea has developed a large group tasting program which we make available on Saturday and Sundays at 4:30 pm and mid week by arrangement. Each member of the group will be provided with Winderlea’s 5 wine flight and a bottle of the current release Chardonnay or the current release Winderlea Dundee Hills Vineyards Pinot noir. The cost of the tasting and wine is $50 and applied to all guests whether or not they choose to taste. If there is another bottle of wine you prefer in the tasting, $35 of the fee will be applied to another bottle of wine. Reservations are required at least 1 week in advance. And the tasting concludes promptly at 6pm. Advance reservations are required by calling 503-554-5900 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
