Still not AI.  Yes, I am back for another week. As you may recall, Donna and I recently returned from a delightful trip to Alabama where we enjoyed some pretty nice weather for the season. Quite a few people asked us when was the best time of year to visit (let’s just stop there for a moment and say how great it is that people want to visit). It’s an interesting question and not as straightforward as one might first think given our barbell weather – glorious weather for about half the year and mostly drizzly for the other half. The answer is complicated by where you live now and what you want to experience. We have a lot of visitors from desert regions, for example, who love to visit us when it is rainy. They don’t see much rain where they live and because of the rain, the Willamette Valley is lush and green. The crocuses and daffodils are already starting to emerge. In addition, it’s a bit quieter around here so if you are a wine geeky person or if you want to hear the stories of the people who live here we are here for you.  Late Spring through early Fall is some of the most beautiful weather in the world; warm and dry with sunny skies. It’s also a busier time of year. Everything is in bloom including the vineyard and there is a buzz of excitement. Either time of year is great depending on what you are after. As an introvert, I’m an off-season kind of guy.  Extroverts may like the Summer better. If you have questions, give us a call. We’d love to help you plan your visit no matter the time of year. More later…
