2019 Winderlea Vintage Sparkling Brut
Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit for our sparkling is pressed slowly and gently before the juice is moved to neutral French oak where it ferments and ages for seven months. The finished wine is bottled along with a small amount of sugar and yeast- essential ingredients for the secondary bottle fermentation. After two years in tirage, we are pleased to share it with you.
On the nose, notes of brioche, pear, apple, ginger biscuit, creme anglaise, and saltine cracker. The palate is layered with lemon, lime zest, tart green apple and a hint of honey. The finish is svelte, with a “moussey” texture and a lithe, yet energizing finish.
