Visiting Winderlea

Welcome Back

Winderlea is re-opening as of Friday, June 12th for tastings. Reservations are now required for all guests.

We look forward to hosting you at Winderlea. There are a few things you should note ahead of your visit:

· We ask that all guests, including our members, make a reservation in advance of their visit. You may call, email us, or use our online form to request a tasting.
· At this time the maximum group size we can accommodate is 4 people (inclusive of children and anyone else at your table).
· We ask all visitors to please call upon arrival and before entering the tasting room.
· We ask that all visitors wear a mask anytime they are not at their assigned table.
· Our new vineyard and garden space is exclusively available for glass pours and bottle sales to members only. Wine Club members can request a table here.

Our tasting room is open daily, from 10am to 4pm, by advance reservation only. We welcome associated groups of no more than 4 guests in a private, seated environment. Our tasting fee is $25 per person and the proceeds benefit ¡Salud!, the organization that provides healthcare services to Oregon’s vineyard workers and their families. Special COVID-19 Practices for All Visitors

In an effort to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our guests, employees, and community (and in accordance with COVID-19 Best Practices in the workplace), advance reservations are required and the maximum group size we can accommodate is 4 people. No guest exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms will be granted access to Winderlea. We will be actively maintaining protocols of at least 6 feet of physical distance among customers and Winderlea employees throughout your visit. Upon entering our parking lot we ask that you call us (503.554.5900) to coordinate your entrance with our designated host of the day. Your host will provide you with instructions for entering our tasting room in order to best manage the number of guests in our building and the preparation of your table. Please note that at this time toddlers and children are included in the maximum number of 4 guests. All children must be seated and remain at your table throughout the tasting. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

During your visit you will be hosted by a masked Winderlea Ambassador. While we know of no one who has successfully and happily tasted our wines with a mask on, we ask that you don a mask as you enter our building or if you need to leave your table during your visit. You will also notice a dedicated staff member assigned to clearing, cleaning, and disinfecting surfaces, door handles, tables, and bathrooms in order to maintain as safe an environment and experience as possible for you, our guests, and for our team. 

Wine Society Member Visits

Complimentary Seated Tastings – Reservations Required
We love to host our Wine Society Members. In order to provide the very best experience for you, and to ensure your safety and that of our team members, we ask that you call and schedule a reservation prior to your visit to Winderlea so that we have a table and a host ready to serve you upon your arrival. During the Phase 1 COVID-19 opening stage, we cannot host any guest at our front counter. We give seating priority to our members and will continue with that practice in the months to come. We have two options for your upcoming visit- exclusively available for members. You have the option of a traditional seated tasting in our tasting room during which you will be served a selection of 5 of our current release wines. The wines will be pre-selected and vary each month so that you can expect different wine and tastings if you visit often These seated tastings remain complimentary to you as a member. At this time, the maximum number of guests we host in a single party is 4. 

Vineyard & Outdoor Garden Seating: For Wine Club Members Only

By the glass + bottle service: reservations are required.
On weekends, we are now able to host Wine Society members exclusively in our new Vineyard & Garden seating area. This space will be reserved for glass pours and bottle service exclusively for members. To make a reservation please email wineclub@winderlea.com, call 503.554.5900 or make a reservation online. We will not be offering tastings in our outdoor area. A selection of wines by the glass or individual bottles will be made available for sale in our outdoor seating area. Due to the limited number of tables and the size of the area, the maximum number of guests we will host per table is 4 (this does include all members of your party, including children and those who may not be drinking). Tables may be reserved for up to 90 minutes per visit. In addition to wines by the glass and bottle service, we will have a limited number of pre-packaged cheese and charcuterie boards that are available for purchase. We continue to kindly request that no outside food be brought to the tasting room, vineyard, or garden.

Buying Wine at Winderlea

Guests are invited to purchase wine any time during our hours of operations 10am to 4pm daily. For weekend visitors, we kindly ask that you phone before stopping by. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff can always assist with recommendations from our current tasting, limited release wines, and large formats available.
