A floral bouquet on the nose consisting of honeysuckle, orange, rose hips and peach. Playing off the floral notes are exotic wood spice and wet stone. Once in the mouth, this wine is a ride first showing layers of strawberry, cherry and cranberry until you’re seduced by salted caramel before you finish with hints of tobacco, green tea, river rock and spice. Drink upon release. Should cellar through 2023.

A round and sexy wine showing layers of chocolate, gingerbread, crème brulee along side fruit components of blackberries, black cherries and a hint of black tea. Drink starting summer of 2013 and should cellar well through 2018.

Savory notes of bay leaf, licorice and white pine and pepper enter your nose on first approach followed by black cherry, grenadine and a hint of crème brulee. In the mouth the wine is exuberant and bright with fresh wild strawberries, cherries, cranberries, fig and a bountiful Marionberry cobbler. A generous mouthful of wine that will richen in the next couple of years. Age until 2013 and enjoy after a short decant. Should cellar well for the remainder of the decade.

2011 Winderlea Meredith Mitchell Vineyard Pinot noir

Bright and lively aromas ranging from black cherry, cranberry and plum to seductive spice notes of cardamom, clover, lavender and purple flowers. In the mouth the Meredith Mitchell is juicy with layers of cherry, cranberry, red Italian plums, tea and the most pleasant of gravel notes. The tannins are amazingly soft leading to a round and lush mouth feel and a long finish. Drink starting in 2014 and cellar upwards to 2028.

2011 Winderlea Maresh Vineyard Pinot noir

Our first single vineyard designate from Maresh shows a broad aroma spectrum of fruit from pomegranate, raspberry tea, golden raspberry and red plum to earthier notes of sweet wood box, basalt and dried tobacco. On the palate the flavor profile is a bit more focused starting with soft cedar spice and clove beautifully married to orange blossom, red cherries and ripe currants and gooseberry. The Maresh finishes round with great fruit, acid and soft tannins. Age until 2013 and enjoy after a short decant. Should cellar well for the remainder of the decade.

This wine shows beautiful acid and amazingly well integrated tannins with a long finish. May start drinking upon release. Should cellar through 2023.

A beautifully aromatic wine with notes of orange blossom, ripe cherries, currants, cardamom and cedar. In the mouth the Juliard shows layers of red delicious apples, cherries, watermelon, and pure brightness of flavors. The finish is round and dense with flavors with almost juicy tannins that linger. May be drunk after a little aging and decanting. Cellar worthy for 5-8 years.

2011 Winderlea Dundee Hills Vineyards Pinot noir

Tangerine and hibiscus notes jump out of the glass followed by a lovely layer of cherry and strawberries and finally a hint of cedar shavings. In the mouth, the Dundee Hills shows cherry and hints of the tangerine along with more pronounced darker fruit including plum, blackberry and ripe strawberry. Drink now and can be cellared through 2016.

A tightly focused wine with plum perfume notes on the nose coupled with candied citrus rinds and cool spice aromas. On the palate the Crawford Beck gives a beautiful combination of fruit, including black cherry with anise, cinnamon, and soft cedar. The whole wine is tied together with its beautiful searing acid. Best if held through 2013 and could easily cellar through 2028.

2011 Winderlea Chardonnay

Aromas of lemon grass, pomelo, black licorice, fennel, with a hint of butterscotch, vanilla and d’anjou pear. On the palate there is a core of pineapple, Meyer lemon, fresh cut grass, and subtle nutty notes of walnut and cashew. This Chardonnay shows just the right amount of acid coupled with an incredibly creamy mouth feel and generous finish. This can be drunk now and should cellar beautifully for 5 to 7 years.
