On Tuesday, Donna and I experienced one of the first signs of Spring; the blessing of the final blends of Rosé. We’ll have two very distinct wines again this year, one from the Winderlea Estate Vineyard and the other, the Clos Vernier from Worden Hill Vineyard. Both are made using the same careful practices. The Winderlea will be Demeter certified Biodynamic® and we expect certification of Worden Hill Vineyard this year or next. Even writing this has me looking past the grey and dreary of the day and thinking of rolling green hills of grapevines and cover crop at both these vineyards. Spring will be here before long. In the meantime, we are grateful for the rainfall that Winter brings and which we need to get us through the long growing season.
