The soils at Brittan Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA are a mixture of glacial deposits and volcanic material, with a predominant presence of broken basalt. The vineyard has eastern, southern and western exposures on a cool, windy site at the edge of Oregon’s Coastal Range.
A classic, cool-climate Syrah, this stunner has acid that would make a northern Rhône blush and fruit that puts California Zin to shame. Cherry, marionberry, anise, cola, and a healthy dose of peppercorn jump out and reel you in with a broad, dense palate.
