Join us at our Winery tasting room in McMinnville’s historic granary every third Friday of the month for three in-depth seminars and tastings throughout summer.
Friday, June 16th | 10am to 1pm
Seminar No. 1 The Bold and the Beautiful: An exploration of the McMinnville AVA
The “wild west” of the Northern Willamette Valley, the remote and rugged terrain of the McMinnville AVA produces Pinot noir with “guts.” Join us as we delve into the microclimate and geology of, perhaps, the least understood area of the valley and discover why Robert Brittan was so drawn to the dynamism and challenge of this unique area.
Friday, July 21st | 10am to 1pm
Seminar No. 2 Wrestle with the Vessel: The impact of fermentation vessel on wines
We have the ability here at the winery to play around with fruit from various vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Each site has their own characteristics and by choosing the proper fermentation vessel, we can make those distinctions shine. Join us as we taste and compare wines from the various vessels we use in our cellar.
Friday, August 18th | 10am to 1pm
Seminar No.3 Into the Woods: A look at coopers and barrel distinction
One can easily get lost in the forests of France when talking about barrel selection. We will begin a guided journey by talking about difference in forests, coopers, toasting and barrel age in this seminar focused on the ever important back up singers that are barrels.
Each seminar will be held on the third Friday of the month starting at 10am.
