Donna and I are enjoying a few days off at the end of the year.  For me, there are few things more enjoyable than having the time to read and to listen to music.  I find it helps to quiet my mind and that, over time, important thoughts can emerge (though, to be fair, they don’t always).  This has been such a devastating year for so many of us.  As we look back over the year we mourn with our friends and families the loss of loved ones, lost jobs or businesses, lost homes, or lost hope.  We’ve had a lot of support.  The team we work with, whose photos surround these words, have been so adaptable and resilient.  Facing challenges of their own, they managed to help us adapt our business model to better enable us to weather this pandemic.  We owe them a deep debt of gratitude and our friendship and admiration.  We also owe thanks to you, our customers, who have continued to support us even when we could not open our doors to you.  We hope that we will be able to see you in 2021, whether that means you visit us or we come to you.  Thank you.  And, of course, our love to our family and friends who have buoyed us through all of this.  We hope that 2021 begins the process of regeneration that we all need and wish you all the very best new year”- Bill Sweat, Winegrower
