On Wednesday October 7th we officially concluded harvest for 2020 by picking Chardonnay from the Meredith Mitchell Vineyard. In general, 2020 has been a year that has required a lot of adaptation and the Oregon grape harvest has been no different. We’ve decided to respond to 2020 by making some adaptations of our own. We’ve left a lot of room for decisions down the road, but you could be seeing another Sparkling wine, another Rosé, a White Pinot noir (not a Pinot blanc, a white wine made from Pinot noir grapes), and maybe one or two other surprises. We’ll certainly have a lot more to say about these wines in the future, but there is one thing for certain, we’re expecting 2021 to be more fun than 2020, at least it will be if you like Sparkling and Rosé . More later.-Bill Sweat, Winegrower
