From our first vintage, Ana has been one of our most important sources of fruit. Located in the heart of the Dundee Hills AVA, ANA is a twenty-one acre parcel that previously made up the oldest blocks of the Weber Vineyard. ANA boasts some of the oldest own-rooted Pinot Noir in Oregon dating back to 1976. We chose fruit from blocks primarily planted to Pommard and the Dijon 777 clone. ANA is situated on the top of a ridge running north and south with a 450-foot elevation that then slopes directly west down to an elevation of 350 feet. The site is part of a geographical “bowl” that retains afternoon heat well into the evening of sometimes chilly autumn weather.
Surrounded by other remarkable vineyards including Arcus, Bergstrom, Erath, Maresh and Goldschmidt, ANA’s Jory soils are known for producing fruit with lush red and black cherries, red raspberry and some spice as well as beautiful violet aromas. Wines from the ANA vineyard are typically described as silky, sensual and subtle.
The ANA vineyard is owned and managed by Andy Humphrey.
